Jan 2, To the Supermarket!

January 2, 2020

We were running low on groceries so we went to the nearby nice supermarket, the La Comida. This supermarket was had everything from groceries to clothes like a Walmart Supercenter, but clean, bright and much nicer, even better than Target.  We stocked up on groceries and got some beef stew, rotisserie chicken and some freshly made tortillas which we took back to Rover for lunch.  Of course on the way to the supermarket we missed the turn and had to drive a mile out of our way but were rewarded by coming across a lookout point on the hill above San Miguel.

After lunch we filled up on gas ($140, ouch) and returned to the San Ramon RV park.  We had planned to go into town in the afternoon but it was very windy and we decided to just stay in the RV for the rest of the day.  We didn’t do much, just rested, did schoolwork and generally chilled except that I noticed that the RV was not getting electricity from the RV park plug.  To be more exact there was electricity but our surge protector was showing that it was at 129 volts and so was blocking the power.  I called the surge protector company and they suggested I check the voltage and that I may need to recalibrate the surge protector if it was wrong.  No worries, we are not dependent on outside electricity.

We had dinner at home of pasta with vegetables, roast chicken, ribeye steak, bread and freshly squeezed watermelon juice. Yummy!
