Feb 18, Last Day in San Miguel

Today was to be our last day in San Miguel and it was going to be a busy day. We had to prep for travel and prepare for a BBQ in the afternoon.  First we had a lot to get ready to travel.  This involved, cleaning the RV, inside and out, filling the fresh water, and putting away all the things that had sprawled out during our month at the RV Park.  Then we had to do some last minute shopping for the BBQ and setting up tables and chairs.  Then Holly started prepping the food while I took Olivia for a shower.

Deya arrived around 4 just in time for Holly’s Tri Tip to be ready. We provided Tri tip, green beans and beer, Deya brought Chili Rellenos with cheese and beans along with some candy.  One of our neighbors at the RV park also joined us bringing salad and tofu since they were vegetarians.

As usual Holly cooked the tri tip to a perfect medium rare.
She also BBQed some corn and stuffed sausage.

I had set up my Oculus Rift VR system and after eating Deya and her family gave it a try.  They had heard about RV but didn’t really know what it was.  They enjoyed it a lot and said it blew their minds.  The kids especially enjoyed the Coco game. 

All too soon it was time for Deya to leave since they had school the next day.  Olivia hugged Valentina and was sad to see her go.  Afterwards we cleaned up a bit and went to bed as we would still have a lot to do the next day before we left.

It was really sad when Olivia said goodbye to Valentina
